I've currently got a mk1 fabia and feel like a change, i'm looking for something in the octavia, mondeo, laguna range. anyone got a suggestion?

Insurance IMHO will only be an issue if you have less than 2years driving and/or under 21 on these cars (Octavia vRS, Mondeo ST, etc)

If I was going to buy another car I'd seriously look at an Octavia again but I'd be looking at diesels. an older PD130 or a newer 2.0. The PD130 remapped is a quick car

lol that's me, also i cant find an VRS (or any skoda) that hasnt done a million miles

I have an Octavia and I have been very pleased with my current one. If insurance is an issue then go for a bog standard spec Octavia - they are still lovely to drive. I only have a 1.6 but it does the job and is great to drive. I am still waiting for an RS as the insurance will sting me - 24, 2 accidents, 1 speeding ticket!
