just got my drivers seat retrimmed in leather and i fitted it back into my car today, it was done at cover all in stockton.

once i put all the connections in and secured the seat, i started the car, the air bag light went off and come straight back on. i checked the connections and no joy

i disconnected the battery and tried that and no joy.

any advise? would Vag com be the nxt route?

Yep, you need VCDS to clear that.

Yep, once its been triggered it will not clear by itself and needs the services of VCDS.

Several things can trigger it including a dodgy connection, even turning the ignition on with the seats remvoed from the car will cause the airbag light to come on.
