1 sp30 about 15yrs ago in works van 60 in 50 on motorway roadworks, boss was amazed the van went that quick and paid the fine:D

Got 4 points & £150 fine in 1992 for doing 58 in a temporary 40 on the A31. Back then temporary speed limits were not enforceable. Lucky me! Hampshire were experimenting with making them enforceable and means related fines. If I had stopped for the unmarked white escort van that got smaller and smaller in my rear view mirror when the national speed limit sign reappeared it would have been 3 points and £30 fine. Obviously the magistrates were feeling generous gave me the 4 points and considered I had to much free cash. At the time a mates nephew gets pulled, no tax, no mot, no insurance, and no driving license, and gets sweet FA in comparison.

3 points & £60 fine in 1998, agian on the A31, spot a trend here! doing 88 in a 70 limit on my Kawasaki ZXR750, was gratefull it was not the day before, as I was doing slight more than 88 on the same stretch of road.!
