anyone ever had issues after a re map ?

Featured Replies

I have done so digging on here and have made up my mind to have a re map done on my vRS, almost 3 years old, and 30K on the clock. On here seen loads of good things about Jabba sports and impressed with what I heard when I called them.

I would only want the 'stage 1' as they call it and my understanding is nothing else has to be upgraded to cope (such as clutch for example).

Before I take the plunge has anyone ever had problems and reverted back to stock:thumbdwn: or is it plain sailing all the way to happiness:thumbup:

I am doing it for the simple reason I am assured I will have a better drive, no flat spots, no hesitation, and better MPG

If you're going to go with Jabba, you should be fine... :)

jabba stage threeing mine as we speak..will let you know whats its like when its done..;)

Jabba will store your original map for you and will revert back if you want later, was free when I done it, not sure about that now.

My Golf was mapped by them some years ago and i reverted to the original map just before I sold the car. I had no issues at all except for loosing the benefits of the remap, slower, less responsive and a bit noisier.

map and clutch done over 12 month ago, 15k later sill no problems just miles of torquey fun!

Slightly off topic, but whats jabba stage threeing classed as? any porting/headwork etc etc?

Stage 3, i think he means a custom remap, would be a remap after major mechanical upgrades, as you say porting, big turbo, decat etc.

Stage 3 is our largest turbo kit, offering 250-260bhp from standard injectors, engine & head...

More can be achieved if headwork was performed and we'll be trialling this soon on our demo car, the head's sat waiting to be fitted it's the same old problem of getting around to doing it...

No problems, stage 1 pulled 173 bhp and 300ft/lbs of torque. With P-Torque, on standard clutch. Just dont boot it below 2k and you'll be smiling!!
