Nexan N3000

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Had a slow puncher on the front left over the weekend. Was a little busy so stuck some air in it and carried on as usual. Seemed to be getting worse and needed topping up with air several times. Got it looked at on Monday afternoon and expected it to be an easy repair but the tyre was totally knackered and it had atleast 5 mm of tread left

Pictures not great but on the inside wall there are what look like slashes all the way around! A little worrying really as its probably been like that for a while.

The unfortunate news is because it is sidewall damage it can not be repaired at all. :rotz: There is only a certain percentage of the main tread (not too close to the edge) that can be puncture repaired.

The Nexans are not the best tyre for your car, so I would treat yourself into a pair of decent ones, there are too many thread on here about which ones to get. If you want cheap ones Toyo, Khumo or even Falcan make good ones, (again do a search on here first).

Damn thats not good. Escpecially as I have these tyres on my car :rotz:.

I wonder whaty has caused that. Maybe driving whilst flat has done it.

"Maybe driving whilst flat has done it."

DUH......You reckon?

Did the thought not occur to fit the spare?

That is what it's there for.

Its never been driven flat but did spend a day sat whilst being flat. Oh actually I did have to move the car 3 ft due to it being next to a small wall and as such I couldn't get to it. 3 ft whilst flat would do that?

Funnily I do know what a spare is for but thanks for taking the time to point that out to me!

I'm simply pointing out to that its always worth a little look on the inside wall as you never know what's lurking out of site!
