camshaft sensor

Featured Replies

Hi IEP,

You could be right, after scanning, taking it round the block (2 min drive), both fans were running, however the lower hose was much cooler than the top one. I think he needs to find out if the water pump has ever been changed.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Interesting info, if the hoses are at very different temperatures then that does point towards the thermostat. If the pump has failed, the water flow will be reduced but the temperature of the hoses should be the same.

Having said that, If it has been over 60k miles since the last waterpump change then that probably needs to be done anyway.

Edit chassis number etc

I'd scan it again after a few days.

It needs time too find any faults if they re-occur,

And I've edited out your chassis number :D
