Not starting

Featured Replies

I went to start my Felicia this morning and when I turned the key there was a clicking noise from a relay and no turning of the starter motor. Would this mean the starter motor has died or something else?

Everything was fine last time I drove the car a couple of days ago.

All lights were off.

Considering the age of the car it could also be worn bushes on the starter motor.

Try giving the motor a few good firm whacks with something like a soft faced hammer or a piece of hardwood to free any dust between the bushes and the spindle.

If that cures it then it is likely that the motor needs reconditioning.

Otehrwise, it could be a faulty solenoid (if one is fitted, I don't know if that is the case) or a flat battetry as Simbo99 says
