My new White VRS TSI

Featured Replies

Nice looking car. In fact its exactly the same as mine , even the colour. Great choice.

by the way can you check your DRLs and side lights for me. Please check if the SIDE LIGHTS WORK when you switch them on with the light switch. and let me know what your DRLs do when you switch on the side lights.

Plus looks like you got a better deal with your car having the spare in the boot. can you give more details ie part number for the spare or stud sizes etc

Cheers

There was something about this on another thread.

Apparently the side lights do not 'work' on an FL vRS.

The DRLs are on all of the time, bright when the lights are in the 'off' position, and a dimmer setting when the lights are switched 'on'.

Led DRL's dim when light switch is moved to sidelights.

There is no sign of life from the sidlight bulb.

This is what I was expecting to be honest after reading the previous posts on this subject.

I actually prefer it like this.

The spare was an optional extra at the time of ordering; cost £50.

I can't see anything regarding a part number but it is a 205/55 x16 tyre.

No idea on wheel specs - sorry.

White looks nice.

Following advise on this thread and other forums I have got some Collinite 476s wax to put on soon following a bit of basic 'detailing'.

Think the 'sidelight' bulb is now termed a parking light for cars with DRL and should come on if you select left or right indicator when ignition off.

It's not noisy but get the soundproofing for the bonnet. It just looks unfinished without it.

The DRL's still come on in 'dim' mode together with the relevant rear light but I've yet to see the 'official' sidelight lit up at all

Looks like as others have stated Skoda have gone for using the DRL for VRS and the side/parking light is a 'dead bulb'.

Have these on Yeti; light units fitted with bulbs not wired up.

Checked on mine (will have to update my signature!) and the DRLs come on dim for parking. No sidelight.
