hell i hope this is in the right place i have an odd problem with my tail light near side.

i found the bulb had blown so i thought i would get a new one once i put it in i cant get it to come on again. when i brake it come on ok but once ive taken foot only the right side stays on the indicator on that side works ok and the right side tail light is working fine. Also have notice the reverse light wont light up either only the right side will light up.

any ideas on what the problem could be ? mot due friday too

On the octavia, the brake light is just that, braking only. The only tail light is in the bottom of the cluster and works separatly from the brake light.

is the bottom one not the fog lamp im sure it is that on mine and i have only 1 fog lamp, the other side has no bulb and the little bit of plastic is still in.

when the foot brake is used the bulb i think its not working wil come on but when you take your foot off wont light yet the other side stay on and a little dimmer
