Just wondered whether this VW climate control unit would fit an Octavia 2008, thus giving the on/off button for the CC?

Why do you want to be able to turn CC off anyway? Is it really a big enough problem to throw £95 at it?

How about just turning the fan dial anitclockwise until its on min the turn it again aticlockwise untill it displays off?

Surely the VW one will have VW Red/Blue lighting, rather than Skoda green ?

:eek: That's way over priced I paid £9.50 for a new one sometime back - never fitted it, as it didn't have heated seat controls but just swapped the CC buttons and collars over...

I hardly think the existing way to turn it off is excessively onerous!! Just keep turning until the display says "off".

I could (and do) live with this. An OFF button would be nice, but I think in 12 months of ownership, I can count on one hand the number of times I've wanted anything other than fully AUTO!

Can top that. Have the button for almost 3 years now and in the last 127000km I probably used it twice

BUT, if you want to have it, you want to have it.

I bought a complete VW unit and changed not only the button, but also the inner chromring of the round pots and the outer turnable ring.
