Has my car been remapped?

Featured Replies

I picked up my new '52' plate Fabia estate today and I was surprised by the performance. I know that the 100bhp 1.9tdi is no slouch but even so it does seem pretty quick. Revo states that their map will give it 150bhp so I know a map will be noticeable but I've never driven a car with this engine previously to compare it to.

Other than rolling roading it is there any way to tell such as Vagcom? If it was the same engine as my octy I could use my liquid gauge but it doesn't work on diesels.

Just don't want to spend money on mapping it if it's already done.

You could check what its boosting at, so a search for standard boost then mapped.

Id imagine, around 1.1Bar would be standard (peak) and anything upto 1.6BAR would say mapped to me...

Send your liquid back for a software update for it to work on your diesel.

Got access to private road? ;) bhp = ( [unladen weight] / [0-60 time] ) * 0.9

(more or less)

Can I do this? And what does it cost?
