I don't know if it's a fault or my stupidity :-

VRS single slot CD.

Radio plays fine out of driver and passenger side speakers

BUT CDs only play out of left speakers.

Tried different Cd and playing around with the settings but no Joy

Has anyone any ideas ???

CD section uses a separate pre amp within the head unit, so sounds like the head unit is duff mate.

The HU in my octavia went wrong in a similar way, first it sounded like the passenger side front speaker had blown, then all the bass went on the passenger side. I tried changing the front speaker but it made no difference. Then the CD changer decided to commit suicide so I changed the HU and all was better.
