Simon, the Twintercooler is perfect. Anyone who complains of lag has either fitted it wrong and has a boost leak or they are talking b****x, it's a quality IC.

you should be ok for an IC @ stage 1. stage 2 onwards is a good idea, especiallly before the summer.

this is what i have been trying to get at. its all opinions, if they were rubbish they wouldnt sell.

S i ll make you an offer, just this once. Ill trade you my std oem IC for your twintercooler.

Think about it

My stage 2 didn't suffer at all on track in the middle of July. Of course high boost will always cause higher inlet temps but as Sy saw for himself on Saturday, high boost isn't necessarily required to make a car quick ;)

Mines running less boost now isnt it.

have you had any spare time to sort thoe logs out yet ben. Dont worry if you havent, Id appreciate if in you could post the before and after logs up when you have time(no rush) cos i prob will mess the format up without doubt. Absolute computer biff.

Did milltek get back to you in the end, im about to order a piper cat back tomorrow. taking a gamble as it could be LOUD!!!! wander if the wife wil notice

saying that my car when it had the bluefin got heat soak @ the ring, but it was about 35 degrees that day.

Not had 5 minutes to myself yet mate, but I'll get them done when I can and make you some pretty graphs

wander if the wife wil notice

Mine's a Piper - yes she will.

I love it actually - it's a little noisy at first but settles down very quickly once warmed up. Normal driving it's not intrusive at all, makes a fantastic noise when you put your foot down.

The only time I 'notice' it when I'd rather not is motorway driving. Generally ok, but if you're motoring along with cruise control on and hit an incline for example, it's a bit noisy.

No regrets though.

On a side note, I want Mickey's car.

that what i want TBH, how was fitment any issues, what tail pipe did you go for they have given quite a few options for it. Pics please, lol

its ok everybody wants a bigger willy to waggle around:rofl:

It came straight off Lee's car and onto mine at JKM. No real issues at fitting time but I think Kate said they had to play around with a mount to get it on correctly. It was fine up until a couple of weeks back but it now vibrates very loudly against the underneath of the car when cold, leading to it just knocking a bit when it's warm and I go over a bump - sure something's just come loose so I'll get them to have a look when I'm there next. When it was fine, it was great if that makes sense. No knocks, no rattles :)

It's an oval pipe, bit like a Cupra R. It fits perfectly and looks very OEM, but a bit beefier.

I'll try and get a photo tomorrow if I see any daylight :(

Is it Harry who had/got the twin exit Piper? That looks nuts :)

Mine's #1 - couldn't quite make it out of the Piper site, but I've got those little holes inside :)

Well i like the twin pipe look of standard so i'd vote 3

#1 :)

3 for me!

Excuse the state of the car....

that looks quite good actually. Is yours just the CAT back or TBE.

obviously its louder when using booting it but Is it noticably louder than stock on tick over, and normal town driving

TBE.

It is louder than stock but not in a bad way - you can't really hear stock that much while pottering around, but you can hear the piper. Doesn't sound like a Saxo special though.

I'm 32 now and only feel a little sheepish driving around in it - anything louder and it would be a definite red cheek ride every time :)

that was my initial thoughts, however i had absolutely no heat soak yesterday after repeated power runs, also its winter so cooler anyway.

both wil be bought before summer no doubts. just which one now.

twintercooler brand new ebay £450

non resonated cat back £400-450

S3 intercooler would fit in place of your current one wouldn't it? If so it would cost less than £450.

thats the price of just the intercooler and the pipes required as the pipes on the S3 have a different locating connector. Also its a front slam panel off job, so can be quite a task and a few hours

Excuse the state of the car....

You should be ashamed of that!!

I'd go for no.2 by the way.

I am :)

It's black magic syndrome unfortunately - one journey and it's wrecked.
