Don't crash your Nissan GTR

Featured Replies

The focus is an incredibly well handling platform, but I get the feeling the RS might be a bit too much power through just the front wheels even with the clever differential.

the latest EVO mag doesn't really recommend the RS as a track car, as Wardy says, too fat, the Clio 200 was only 0.6 second slower round the EVO track

Yep, didn't really shine on Car of the Year this month. Was clear to see as soon as it came out really, when Driver's Republic had it round Silverstone. The amount of understeer was pretty alarming and it didn't look happy or settled on track really. The R26R ate it alive, which perhaps isn't mega surprising given its track focus.

But the Clio time says it all, when it's down on power (obviously) but also down on BHP/tonne by a margin too. Less is sometimes more... especially seeing as Renault's chassis designers seem just a bit better than Ford's lot ;)

Ouch ....

Well, it looks like Nissan have succeeded in making a virtually uninsurable car there!

That's surely going to effect GTR future sales....

Did anyone get far enough through the thread to find if there was a way around that system,

or a cheaper fix?

That was clumsy of him to crash it again.

You'd have thought he'd have learnt the lesson after the first time ;)

And here I am, STILL unable to get the 'merge threads' function to work!

After reading all of it (up to page 14):o nothing concrete had been found/confirm.

Prices for parts were found (GT-R Register - Official Nissan Skyline and GTR Owners Club forum - View Single Post - Accident: Don't do what I did....) but nothing else yet.
