Well, I think I was the 1st on vwvortex to get an octy vrs and I still have it. I think the order was

1.) manny (mannyo)

2.) duncan (dmac1969)

3.) John S (stopan1j)

Around the same time as me was an artist from Ireland. I wonder what happened to him.

The vRS was available to order from about June 01, and I ordered mine and collected it in July 01. Even back then the wait was 3 months for a new build, so I went for the Red one the dealer had in the showroom.

Mine was a demo and I got it around the end of Sept 01, so it would have been registered in July. I was told at the time I was the 2nd private owner in Ireland, there was 6 registered in total, the others were demos.

His name was David Carson, from Carrickfergus. I still have his car pics online, I think he got his in late 2001 as its an my02 model

Maybe I should have said in the South as the dealer wouldn't have been aware what the sales were like up North.

I never win competitions but still try .... how about

I ordered my 4*4 in January 2001 .... was promised it in April 2001 ... but did not arrive until June 2001 .... albeit with ARX engine .

Well considering I took Colin out for a blat in mine when he owned a primera, I think I have the edge on colin, as for Steve, well mine is also a June01, although I did not buy it till Feb02...

Mine was the 2nd 4x4 to be remapped at Jabba (missed out by a week!), but I did organise the very first Jabba group buy

(and it *was* the first 4x4estate to be remapped....)
