The old wagon just clicked 100k a couple of months back.

Its due a cambelt replacement @ 108k.

Just wondering if there is any other problems to look out for on a car weith this milage?

Its passed its mot in october so can't really think of anything!

Cheers y'all :)

Obviously you have serviced it regularly then shouldn,t be any problems.Hows the clutch/flywheel?Another 100K should easily be done.Good luck.

On this matter when does the cambelt need changing please the car is a 1.9tdi three years old last week but only done 28000 miles , loads of questions but not had a diesel for ages and never had a skoda

It should be in the service log book that is hopefully still with your car :) Not sure on the 1.9 tdi (unless its a vrs, think they're different) but can check later if you don't have it

Cheers buddy hadnt looked there tbh havent driven it since last saturday when picked it up .. new baby making us to knackered to go out lol

The service book does not necessarily have the latest info with regard to belt changes etc. For example the belt change on the mk1 octy vRS started at more than 110K miles, and thats whats in the service book, its now 60K or 4 years due to a lot of belt failures.

I think the interval on the PD1.9 TDi is 60K or 4 years.

thanks

Stick to 60K / 4 years and you won't have to worry. Have a look at the threads on changing the water pump at the same time - I'll get mine done together next time (next week!) at 120K.

my pd100 has reached 108000miles and i had a bit of a scare the last couple of days. Before that i had no mechanical issues to report. Basically my tdi was hardly accelerating at all in 1st and 2nd gear. also turbo was kicking in at 2800 revs instead of 2200. I then tried unplugging the MAF sensor and the car drove much better. Thats means my MAF sensor needs to be replaced. its a common thing with higher mileage cars. Thank God it's not anything more serious like the turbo, injectors etc..

126,299 miles reached in mine this morning (2003/03) Fabia vRS.

All sound.
