Remapped by R-Tech

Featured Replies

Greetings,Just had my Octavia vrs remapped by Nick and his team at R-Tech and I'm chuffed to bits. Car is absolutely fantastic to drive, so much power and torque and so smooth.Session started with a check over of the car to make sure all is ok before mapping. Then it went onto the rollers and produced 199bhp and 195ftlb of torque.Next, the map (an R-Tech spec 1.5 map which they've been working on for quite a while) was loaded on and the car was put back on the rollers. 225bhp and 251ftlb of torque :thumbup:Nick then test drove the car and then I test drove the car. There was a little bit of surging and Nick recommend I change my N75J valve back to and N75F. So I paid my £250 (excellent value for money!) and made my way home. I did notice on the journey that when I floored it in higher gears from about 3000rpm, the boost would peak at nearly 1.5 bar and hold at just under 1.4 until it dropped it all completely and threw up fault codes 17963 boost pressure limit exceeded and 16487 MAF signal too high. Quick call to Nick and he suggested I try adjusting the acutator nut back one turn as it may have been tinkered with at some point in its life. Did this and it sorted the issue straight away.Car runs so smooth and is seriously quick. Gotta learn to drive it all over again :rofl:I'd like to say a massive thankyou to R-Tech for all their help and excellent service. I urge anyone considering mapping their car to give them a call, there wealth of skills and knowledge is absolutely immense!website: http://www.r-techpower.co.uk

Overboost can also happen with the J valve. Your boost sounded very high, what pressures are you running now you changed the wastegate nut?

Peaks at just over 1.4 bar (21psi) and falls back to 1.2 bar (18psi) which is what the map is set to so all is well :)

Yep that sounds better. I hope Nick was impressed by your FMIC ;)
