power steering light

Featured Replies

power steering light just came on my dash when i started the car :( didn't have any loss of assisted steering though.

pulled over a little further down the road, turned off, back on, no light

Steering wheel had kinda locked when i got in, had to turn the wheel to be able to turn the key, could this of caused it?

Just went for food and the light didn't come on on the way back... should i be worried?

Check the pas fluid level if you can, its under the battery and there is a dipstick in the lid, that can sometimes cause the light to come on if the pump gets an airlock. dont worry too much about it though for the moment

Could be that the battery is low or on the way out.

Thanks for the replies guys! Will keep an eye on it, if it happens again will try checking the fluid level, pain in the *** that you have to remove the battery+ plate though!

Don't have the kit to check the battery atm, decent multimeters been on my list for a while now

Likely to be a fault logged in the ecu?
