Prank or Fault?

Featured Replies

Got to work this morning and noticed the radio reception was worse than usual (not as bad as the last Fabia) and put it down to atmospherics.

Got out of the car and Saw my aerial was lying flat which leaves me with one question is this a prank from the local "youff" or is it a possibly more serious fault.

The areial screwed back in without a problem and I'll keep an eye on it but should I be worried?

Would have to be quite some fault to cause the aerial to unscrew itself... more likely someone decided it would be a laugh to nick it before finding it was attached... :)

Stimps the thing is the dumb ar5s who tried to nick it didn't know they are security ariels and can't be removed from the outside. :D

I know - but they wouldn't know that until they unscrewed the aerial, would they?

The interesting thing is that they did put it back in the socket rather than leave it resting on the roof.

At least my mind is at rest.

Sort of.

Thanks guys.

Exactly that is why I said dumb ar5e for trying to steal it..

I thought that was what I said? :)

But not all of them are security aerials. My first Fabia did not have it.

Thought they were standard on the lil' fabia vrs, Jeff?

(Plus it would be hard for the aerial to be unscrewed and lying flat AND remain on the roof unless it was attached...)

;)

Hmmm. Glad I live in a quiet area because unscrew my beesting and you walk away with it... At least I can upgrade my OEM aerial I guess... :D :P

unscrew my beesting
You say that to all the boys... ;)
