Forge Fmic Fitted :)

Featured Replies

Thanks to Forge for supplying a great piece of kit. Dead simple to fit and can't have taken more than 4 hours to do. The car seems much happier when boosting now and certainly seems to pull harder which can only be good. Haven't had a chance to see if smoke has been reduced although I imagine it will have. It's also great to know that all my boost hoses are secure and won't be popping off any time soon!

As I am planning to go hybrid next year, does anybody know if there is an after market pipe available to replace the one that connects directly to the turbo?

Cheers

Yeah it just seems to be driving very well at the moment.

I haven't had a chance to tell insurance because they are closed today but will let them know first thing Monday. I can't see it affecting insurance much to be honest because I have already declared my remap, turbo back exhaust, air filter, coilies etc etc.

Looks good

Does your bumper align properly with the wing with it fitted ?

Mine is a little out due to the back of the foglight touching the pipes :(

  • Author

Yeah it does, I had to cut a piece of plastic off that was beside the right hand side fog light (as per Forge instructions) so it would sit properly.

Great Work there Yohan, looks really good .

where is the MAP sensor fitted ?

  • Author

Cheers guys.

MAP sensor is fitted in to that pipe to the left of the HID ballast, coming out of the 90 degree silicone hose. It's hidden behind the crash bar in the pic below.

ahh i see thanks for that yohan!

i see also you have HID's, do you get many people flashing etc?

  • Author

Never been flashed once. They are the HIDS4U H7 5000K Anti-Glare kit. Much better than any standard bulb can offer and no glare in standard units.
