Help Me Choose A Car For Hill Climbs, Sprints And Trackdays

Featured Replies

it all depends on what class you want to run in, you will need the regs for the championship you may want to do, then you can buy a car which is most suitable for the class

i.e. upto 1400cc, you could use Pug 106XSI , upto 1800cc, Astra GSI

you also need to know whether you are going to keep it standard or modify it, obviously you need to run it in the right class when modified, you may come up against veteran competitors you can throw huge chunks of cash at their cars, then you don't really stand a chance of being competitive, if of course that is what you want

i did the Midland speed championship 10 years ago, came 10th overall and best novice driving an old shape Mini Cooper running in the standard class
