Working tonight I'm afraid, will be the New Year for me now.

I believed that the Malthouse Meets were a thing of the past....No????

BTW..Do you know that the Turnpike has been 'done up' and is owned and run by The Malthouse.

Possible new venue?

Saturday lunchtimes once a month in the new year??

The Malthouse meet was mentioned at the North West meet last Sunday, and most people were of the opinion that it had died a death. I'm sure there would be some visitors from the NW if it is still running.

Think it's just that time of the year where everyone is either too busy or too skint or both!

Suppose nobody has happened to take the initiative to organise one.

Like I say I won't be going for a while now as got plenty on till well after February!

Guessing 'The Turnpike' is the one further up the road closer to the motorway junction?

Might be worth a visit and see what it's like.

Well....

Its very nice inside, if a little sterile.

It does lack the warm atmosphere of The Malthouse ...a bit like a barn conversion....and the food is not as good and more expensive

Personally I prefer The Malthouse

I tried it the other week and paid more for a glass of wine than you would a bottle in some places :(
