Hi Lee,

As long as they are standard, you will need H7

what's the power headlamp washers n where do I get them? What are the projectors too? Don't you buy it all as one simple kit, I don't remember it being this difficult when fitting them to my civic!

HID's in normal (reflector) headlights give a poor beam pattern and or scatter which will dazzle oncoming cars, the projector is the 'eyeball' you can see in the headlight.

The washers are fitted into the bumper (plastic covers can be seen just under the 'eyeball' above, you also need the automatic headlight adjustment (and sensors) to be fully legal.

The adjustments and sensors can be alligned by a company with the correct equipment.. theres a place near me that can do that! where can i get the eye ball projector style headlights from? then i presume its the H7 fitment for the projector ball style head lights - right?

Thanks for your help! ;)

No the sensors are only on factory fitted xenon cars, (it's not the same as the thumb wheel height adjustment fitted to halogen lights) the sensors detect when the car is at an angle (more weight in the boot or going up a steep hill for example) and automatically dip the headlights a little so you are not blinding oncoming traffic.

So the only realistic place to get the correct projector headlights, sensors and washers would be from a broken car (bought new from a dealer they would be well into 4 figures!)

Some manufacturers make aftermarket projector headlights, these all tend to be for LHD cars though (and still not strictly legal).

Forgot to say there are several members on here who have fitted HID kits in to the std Fabia headlights only to remove them pretty quickly due to the scatter they produce.

Two side to the story as always.

I`v had HID`s in my fabia for 6 months now, with standard lights, as has my mate in his. We follow each other, we drive towards each other and other drivers lots and lots. I can say i have not one been flashed by another driver, nor do i find my mates lights blinding in the slightest when he is behind me. One fitted i got the beam checked that it wasnt pointing to the sky, and i can say for bang for buck the best mod i have done.

Well that's good news, it just seems no-one knows where to get the projector ball head lights from?... I must admit a few of my friends have seats with hids in standard lights n they're fine but I would prefer the projector ball style as I think they look cool n I wana be a little different

Because so few fabias had them fitted as a option, there are very few about. The chance of finding one scrapped with them on are slim, and they just dont make after market ones. This leaves Skoda the only viable option and at a good few hundred quid a set most people dont see them worth the out lay. I`d like to do it one day, but until then i`ll have to make do.

Good luck!

Matt
