VAGCOM and the "Block 120" Rolling Road

Featured Replies

After finally getting VAGCOM sorted, cheers Eddy :), I got around to doing some datalogging this weekend. Now the 0-60 of 8 seconds and 0-100 of 19 seconds could do with some improvement; I think I

Interesting results Dave, I heard you've being driving Anna mad playing with vagcom.

Unfortunately I didn't get chance to do any more testing this weekend.

You must get out there and do it my friend, I need data!! I'll mail you my results, see what you think. It would be interesting to compare results, well, at least to me. Could this be the independent method of assessing the various tuners we've all been looking for?

It's a good way to compare one car to another as is the airflow reading. I timed my 0-60 using a G-tech timing unit rather than vagcom. With a full tank of fuel, 2 people on bored, Climate ON and my poor technique I did 2 runs which were 6.35 and 6.51. I'm hoping to improve on this when I get another chance, I think the 4x4 is capable of a sub 6 sec 0-60.

Bengie - Yeah 6th is still good, I got a new coilpack last night thanks to to Rich1068, so no probs there. I need to clear the garage as I want to put my car in there now the poor weather is upon us.

Yeah, I did hear, lucky Rich had spares for you. The comment was more aiming for transmission loss data, i'm sure there must be more than 2 4x4s that have been RR'd.

Aye, just read that, had copied the statement ready to paste in here. So thats 243.8 to 253.8bhp then. Its starting to get a little silly I feel, do you think the VAGCOM log is accurate Eddy?

It looks reasonably accurate but I think your particular log tails off too early. I think this is down to a lack of loading once at higher speeds. A long straight road with a slight incline may yield better results.

Any spring to mind? :D

There's one near me I have in mind (private road of course!). Not sure for Dave though but I'm sure he can find somewhere suitable.

When I read it I just grinned and thought of two. Both are routes away from somewhere I spend a ridiculous amount of my spare time :D
