Best Small Family Car?

Featured Replies

The Skoda Octavia wins this category in What Car. But small family car? Maybe it wins because it has got more space than the other class contenders.B)

It's not exactly small, is it?

It's not exactly small, is it?

If the comments at a recent trackday were anything to go by "boat like" apparently :giggle:

Unless the award was for the US, where barge like takes on a whole new meaning describing the cars...

It describes the class occupied by Octavia, Focus, Golf, Astra etc

Large family car would be the likes of Mondeo, Passat, Superb, Insignia

Would never describe my car or a Golf as 'small'.emoticon-0149-no.gif Medium perhaps. A Fabia and a Polo are smaller but still not 'small'.

Owned a Passat and the Octavia feels the same size to me.

SWMBO has a smallish Getz but Hyundai sold the even smaller Amica at the same time.

Size matters!emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Fabia: Small. Octavia II: Medium. Superb: Large. No arguments.

I always find it strange that the Octavia is in the same group as the Focus, Golf, Astra etc. as in my eyes it is significantly bigger and roomier, despite being based on the Golf. the boot for example is nearer the Mondeo than Focus...
