Fabia TDI front fog light change

Featured Replies

Looking for a quick pointer as to changing a fog light unit on a 02 plate Fabia. Am I right in thinking that it fits into the bumper from the inside? Therefore can I access the screw fixings by jacking up alone or do I need to remove the front arch liner etc? I haven't looked into it yet, but a quick low down would help.

Thanks in advance.

This is the squarer shaped fogs right? You might find that removing the trim alongside it exposes the 2 torx bolts that hold them in the bumper. Failing that, it will be a bumper off job unfortunately.

Yeah, it is as you put it Jase, the square type light unit, the one of my wife's car has a big bit of glass missing after road debris damage. Got a replacement from Jorily for only £18; not a genuine part, but nevertheless great value! Will have a look at the weekend if its a bit warmer than current!

Easy peasy on this car.

Pull out the black plastic grille next to the fog light, revealing 2 x t20 torx screws holding the foglamp in place.

Undo these and the foglamp just drops out easily.

Unclip the back cover (water tight), remove the bulb and change.

On the passenger side, one of the torx screws holds the outside temperure sensor, so remember to place this back when you refit the foglamp. It's all obvious stuff when you get there.

and the fog lamps use h3 bulbs
