Welcome to the forum :)

I've no idea where Halesowen is so can't comment on members near you :D lol

As for parts, Skoda are cheap for bits so pop into a local dealer for the light - if its the casing it'll only be a few £££, if its the lights it'll be £10 tops.

Clutch, should be fine - did you get some sort of warranty? If it doesn't slip, chances are its fine.

Bulbs - well, you work in Halfords so i'd look at some from there, they do Ring or Halfords own Rally Blue or something like that?

Hi Lex, Good to have some new boys, Osram Silverstars were the favourite bulbs around for a while but now Phillips Extreme are supposed to be a bit brighter. As you work in Halfords I would have thought you'll be in the know. If you are after the chavvy type blue ones, again Halfords or look on the Web.

Also I thought students could spell, so have a dictionary handy next time you post. Happy Xmas.

im dyslexic soo yeh bit rubish, The halford ones are crap compared to other ones out there like the orsam nightbreakers but as i have never used them i thought id seek some advice. yeh its just the red cover thingy so nice and cheap then:)

The clutch is not slipping so its fine, even though i have some mechanic knowlege i dont know specific cars, as im used to fords, jags and vauxhalls it came as a bit of a surprise to me on the test drive when i thought my clutch was all the way out and it was just biting (my foot was only about 4 inches down) He is geting a new MOT on it at a very strict place so im sure any problems will come out there also i have a 3 month warentee so im fine for a bit :)

Clutch should be fine, I had to get used to the clutch being high, but if its not slipping then no need to worry about it.

As for bulbs, I've always gone Philips, usually "Bluevision" side lights 501 bulbs, "Bluevision" H3 for the full beam, and finally if I didn't go HID, I would have used Philips Extreme H7 bulbs. Thats just my suggestions anyway. To be honest the "Bluevision" sort of just gives the light a little whiter colour to it via a light blue tint on the glass, yes light output and range would be decreased a litte, but then again those bulbs are being used for sidelights and for the full beam, which isn't used very regularly for driving, so should be fine

I live in Brum, not too far away from Halesowen, so a fellow local owner.

When my red light in the door fell out i just glued it back in with superglue , its been 2 years and its never moved , give that a go first before buying a new one?

i was thinking that but tell me this what you gona do when the bulb behind it needs replacing?:p

Rip it out with a screwdriver , change the bulb , bash it back in with more glue - sorted!

WEHAY bodge job LOVE IT!!:p

TBH on a ten year old car , and considering the fact that it still works fine , I wasnt too bothered. You (and I , I suppose) could always buy a new part if thats what you want. If it drops out again I will probably just order a new one , they cant be that expensive!
