Temperature light Coming On - Checked fludis - Seems strange

Featured Replies

Hi All

I normally read this site a lot but cant find the answer -

My skoda has the temp light coming on the dashboard and flash every now and then - I ve checked the levels and they look fine -

Does this mean I have an electrical fault??

Common in cold weather. There is a sensor in the expansion tank that needs cleaned (scrape with a screwdriver) or replace expansion tank for £12, or just ignore it and check level every week.

its proberbly the sensor on the coolant expansion tank, common problem and relativly easy to fix. A new bottle is about £15, or scrape the sensor to clean off any gunk.

Beaten to it, what he said.

I had this the other day, as said I scraped with a screwdriver the two metal prongs on the bottle, and then sprayed WD40 over them and on the connector and its been fine since.
