got to say this is a bit expensive, as you can get one in czech at a nicer pricer.

'Duncan - England's most Northerly Briskodian!:)'

i'll contend that, i'm up in inverness, but then i dont really post that regularly to call myself a fully fledged briskodian so the titles yours :)

Inverness is Scotchlockland though, not England....

I am 25 miles south of Carlisle, and that is Englandcestishireland!

Lovely little car, someone in Czech will prolly buy it as they seem to be appreciating the rear engined cars more. A couple hae been repatriated from the UK but they were specials if I recall.

Clicked on the link to have a little look, but sadly the picture was gone, we've had a s11r coupe tucked away for the last 15 years and hoping to start restoring it in the early part of next year.

I've found myself wandering onto the rwd skoda forum, just for a look, I now want an S110 coupe more than anything! I only recall seeing one ever before about 15 years ago. I test drove a rapid coupe when searching for my first car, alas my first car ended up being a Hillman imp. Engines in the right place I guess! I guess S110s dont come up in the UK very often? Does it mean a trip to the czech rep?

You could have had an S110r in need of a bit of moderate restoration for a grand not long ago. In CZ they will be LHD and fetch the same amount as the locals are fanatical. They are the mk1 Escort of CZ. You will also have transport and re-registration costs, as well as the CZ government eco tax that is added to the cost of purchasing old cars over there (and has led to a lot of old Skodas being scrapped)

You need to keep an eye on Ebay and the main Skoda Owners forum and one will come up within a year.

Is it possible to find out how many models of the old rear engine Skodas are left in the UK. Has the owners club ever done a survey?

Is there a forum more specific for the older vehicles? Yes, I see there is a classic section here, but this forum seems more geared to newer and faster Skodas :D

Just thought I would ask. I am starting to do my homework with a view to buying a rear engine car in the next 18 months or so. Need to have a garage clear out and make a lot more space first. Too much junk and automobilia from too many classic cars!

I'd love an S110R to go with my Rapid but I haven't seen one for sale in ages.

A few Cz folk have dropped in the power train from late Rapids too which would be interesting.

You havent been looking very hard then.....Ive seen half a dozen this year and this little beauty is currently on Ebay - yellow

As for fitting later rapid power train they arent that much different.....and the S110r engine puts out almost as much power in standard form due to its relatively lairy cam and high compression ratio.
