10,000 mile Service due at 9,400?

Featured Replies

My 1.6 Tiptronic was new in March, and I bought it in June as an ex-demo with 1,200 miles. It's now done 8,600 and the computer is calling for service in 800 miles. I'm sure the Roomster has fixed servicing intervals at 10,000 miles or 1 year so I'm assuming the computer is inaccurate.

So should I ignore it and book a service at 10,000 miles, or at 9,400 when the computer says it should be done please?

You'll probably find it'll adjust it, but yeah... 10,000 miles or 1 year :)

A few hunderd miles is nothing to worry about. Get it done when you can.

You'll find they all happen 'early'. I think it's a metric conversion - 9.4k miles = 15.1k km. So the service interval is actually 15000km, not 10000 miles.

It's actually really annoying as the car gets older, the services get earlier!
