vrs, miles per full tank of fuel

Featured Replies

Hi

similar to solwood i also drive in london with a 3 1/2 year old petrol vrs-no topbox

i get 250/300 per tank around town

and at 70 on cruise about 450/475 the best i got was just over 500 sticking at 55/60

320-400 on my TFSI.

Type of fuel is making a big difference in the cold weather. Much better mpg with VPower.

I have only filled my new vRS TDI once but I got 638km out of 43 litres which equals 41.9mpg.

I was happy with that for a brand new car.

550 - 620 miles range depending on driving style on my PD170 TDI vRS.

I'd say 500 was about my lowest but would agree with 620ish if driven on long runs and not going silly with acceleration or high speed cruising.

just to add i tried morrisons normal unleaded as nothing else was available and it seems to give about 5mpg less!! it seems to run best on sainsburys super

480 miles so far and have some left in the tank. FL vRS 2.0CR with DSG with about 485 miles on the clock. Once its empty I will do another fill up and work it out. But so far I am happy with it (Shell diesel)

Hi

Petrol VRs and getting overall average of 35mpg so about 350 per tank on Shell optimax or Tesco 99

Christ thats about the same as I get out of my 1.9 PD!

I dont even get that! The most ive ever had with my 1.9PD was 540 on a run from Rotherham to Great Yarmouth.

Had a good spanking on the way up to blow the cobwebs out though, and poodling around town and back home at around 60-65mph.

It usually does around 360-400miles to a tank with stop start driving.

Vrs Tdi Estate at 50k. I have run it from fuel to butt twitchingly near true empty and got 620 to 640.

As an average I'd say about 45 to 48 mpg, hence 540 ish.

Drive like an angel, over a long distance (400 to 500mile in same day) and got 54 to 56 mpg hence 600+ (however this sort of driving doesn't do the dpf much good!!)
