Bluetooth, Standard or upgrade in Elegance

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Sorry if this is a stupid question but the more I read the more confused I get.

Want to order Octavia 1.9TDi dsg Elegance Hatchback in the near future, but getting all the info, re full specs, is difficult (certainly for me it is). Reading some of the threads, Bluetooth is mentioned, but what is needed to have that in the Elegance? Is it standard or an upgrade?

Many thanks in anticipation, RoystonB

It's an option.

You can either have it as:

1: 3 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio and telephone including Bluetooth®, Maxi-dot and paddle shift (DSG only) for £690.

or

2: 4 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio and telephone including Bluetooth® and Maxi-dot for £530.

I think as you're going for the DSG box, you'll have to have option 1 @ £690. Ask at the time of ordering.

You need the following option,

4 spoke multi-function steering wheel for radio

and telephone including Bluetooth® and Maxi-dot approx £540

This will give you full intergration as it is phone and aerial

Your mobile is deactivated when connected to the car's phone system but must have the RSAP option/protocol.

As an aside the 1.9TDi is being discontinued. Although the DSG is not yet listed on the new 1.6 CR, it is on Skoda's european site

So can you have option 2 with a manual box on a vRS?

No

Bluetooth is not available on manual VRS becuase the MFSW only comes with DSG box

The options in previous post are for Octavia Elegance

No, those options are for the Elegance, I've looked at the vRS options & for vRS:

Bluetooth® and telephone function for multi-function steering wheel and Maxi-dot (DSG only) £480.00

Many thanks for your replies, but I expect I'll stick to my TomTom.

It has Bluetooth and GPS, which saves me about £2000.

Cheers, RoystonB

The call quaility and sound of the OEM system cannot be beaten, and makes the tomtom seem very basic, the oem voice activated dialling is amazing and very easy to use. You dont even need to take your hands from the wheel to do anything, and you can lookup numbers etc. with the maxidot display using the wiper stalk.

When a call comes in, the stereo is muted and all the call audio is routed through all the cars speaker system, it even works if the headunit is switched off or turned down low.
