God Mode, useful folder.

Featured Replies

Useful little thing to have in Windows Vista 32 or Windows 7.

Create a new folder anywhere you like using windows explorer (I put mine in the C: directory)

Name it: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Convenient way to get at all the scattered controls that Windows leaves all over the place.

Reading a few resources on the web, it may not be stable in 64 bit Vista.

Whoa! How cool is that? :D

I like it

That's clever. Thanks

You don't need to name it GodMode either

FolderName.{ED.......} will work

That's very handy indeed.

Thanks

I can confirm that this isn't stable in Vista 64Bit lol..

However, if you do still try it ;) and get yourself stuck in a pickle with a loop of windows explorer crashing and restarting just open up CMD and rename the folder.. ren oldfilename newfilename

Interesting stuff.

Doesn't work in my 32 bit version of Windows, although I do have a 64 bit version on a separate drive. Perhaps that is why?

Worked for me on 32-bit Windows 7.

You do have vista or 7, yes?

Thats pretty cool !!!

Both!

Both!

How bizarre! I wouldn't have thought that having a 64bit install on a separate drive would stop it from working.... Do you get the explorer.exe loop issue?

Thanks for the tip, working great for me. Windows 7 Pro, 64bit edition.

Holy Gosh that's awesome!

Just tried on 7 32bit and works fine, I won't be trying it on my 7 64bit machine thought!
