Looking for Double din HU, with the following:

Featured Replies

I know im asking alot but ive trauled the net and not found much. . . i want to spend my hard earned on somethin nice for the ocy, so was lookin at double din screens. . . and double din Hu's. Im not a fan of the 150 quid jvc that is currently out. like I say in the title i require DAB radio as i listen to it alot and the signal and clarity is far and above FM. also an ipod connection (not 3.5mm jack) but either usb or ipod connection. and cd player too.

anyone any ideas?

ive thought about the iDab attachment for my ipod which gets DAB radio but havent heard any reports on how good / bad this is yet.

i currently have a blaupunkt Nashville DAB and i am quite happy with it, I just fancy a change. its hooked up to an amp which power the front speakers and an amp and it sound reasonably good for a cheap set-up. I have seen blaupunkts double din stereo but i dont like the phone buttons on the front. . . spoils the design.

Thanks in advance, Rob.

oh and ive attached some pics of my latest bit of styling. . . an extra ASR switch to compliment the dash.

Check out the Kenwood DX7xxx or DX8xxx double din units - I think they offer a DAB module as an option.

When/If you come to sell the Nashville, please let me know as I would be interested in it for my wifes car!

Cheers,

John.

cheers for the links, but i dont think i will sell it tbh mate. gona need it for van/ truck for the business. but if u go to

http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/nashville.asp

u can find them there cheap enough :) or have a luk on the old ebay u sometimes get a bargain off someone who doesnt know the true value of what they are selling ( in my experience ) and for a DAB aerial i have the magnetic rooftop job.

http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/dab_magnetic.asp

way better than glass mounts. . . . worth spendin a bit on the aerial in my experience. think i spent 50 quid on the aerial plus i got the extension lead. i used to have the jvc DAB unit and that was quite a nice one, but i sold that to pay off credit card. . . cant actually find a photo of what it looked like installed but it fitted nicely into the cars image.

I did originally buy a rear window de mist button for the blanking hole, but decided i wanted the ASR switch instead, so theres a spare switch if anyones interested,

thanks again. Rob.
