Write off

Featured Replies

I have had a crash in my Skoda Octavia. it is in a poor state. it is an 04 Octavia Ambiente and has done 50,000 miles. What can I expect as a pay ot for a write off? or is body work not so expensive? the engine starts but the air bags deployed. :S

If the drivers and passenger airbags have gone then it's almost certainly a write off.

I'd suggest you might be able to buy it back from them and get it repaired with second hand parts quite cheaply compared to new.

On the pricing front, your best bet is to search auto trader and garages for similar vehicles and print out a series of these to bargain with.

Aside from the car I hope you and everyone else is ok.

I would get some prices off similar cars from the Skoda dealers and bargain with that.

Everyone was fine; minor airbag damage to face but we all walked awway.

It is an interesting idea to buy it back as it is a fine car and it did a good job. I'll be scouring Auto Trader and garages for bairgaining tools.
