Tyres Needed Urgently! Toyo T1-Rs Preferably

Featured Replies

I placed an order with Camskill today for two Toyo T1-Rs as I've got to almost slicks on the front of my VRS. Unfortunately they are out of stock but I need them ASAP. They were £65 each from Camskill, which is a good price.

Is there anywhere else that I can order T1-Rs from now for that sort of price as I can't wait the three weeks for Camskill to get them back in stock

or are there "better" tyres for the same price.

My threshold is £70 each before I think that I'd rather get some cheapies

Thanks

Have you tried mytyres and blackcircles ??

Set of Two Toyo T1R's £128 (£64 each) plus £10 postage delievered to your door...

tried both earlier today, they don't have them

What are considered the "best" tyre for this sort of price range? These were the recommendation when I last got a set.

Everywhere Ive also looked seem to be out of stock on these tyres! I was a little worried that they might have stopped making them in this size as mine need replacing soon! Glad your sorted though.

My tyre place can get them next day if ordered before lunch...

Just ordered 2 Pirelli P Zero Nero's for mine at £80 fitted from www.event-tyres.co.uk. Their a Northwest company so depends where you live. Last set of fronts have lasted 14K. Would of lasted longer but worn console bushes have made them wear on the inside. Outside still above the limit marker. I found toyo's to go off after 6K. By 10K I found them a challenge in the wet :)

Too the OP

Are you in South wales ???

If so try, Cardiff Tyres Roath (expensive though), Garth tyres (slightly better), Sardis Road Tyres(Pontypridd but better than the other two).

I used to use a place on Brindley Road off Penarth Road, they were pretty good and reasonable prices, can't remember what they are called though. Kwack Fit offered to price match them but when the Kwackfitter rang them he just made a funny noise when they told him the price.

Isn't that HiQ or summat. ????

No, it's little independant place, the "office" is a portacabin, it's just on the right hand side as you go up the road.

As I don't live in Cardiff anymore I haven't been there for a while.

Though I will be down in Rhoose in a week or so.

Yeah now you mention it, I tried once and couldn't find it lol

They were doing Gsd3's for a silly cheap price at one point

It might be Celtic Tyres, but I could be wrong.

That sound familiar :)

I'd agree with you on the "challenge" after 10k in the wet.

It all depends on what the tread depth is though, I would expect most front tyres after 10k to be a challenge in the wet! Ive tried all sorts, and for me the price and performance of the Toyo's win hands down. Overall though its a personal thing with any tyre.
