Induction noise/suck with Hybrid Turbo

Featured Replies

Hello..

I have a Fabia PD130 with a Turbo Dynamics hybrid turbo, Standard Airbox with PD 160 Intake, Forge Front mount Etc.

Under boost conditions & above 3k Rpm you can really hear a sucking/induction type slurp..

Im quite certain (But will check again tonight) that i have no boost leaks & it does not sound like a boost leak/sqeal type noise, Deffo more of a sucking, Now i don't know if i am imagining it but it seems to have gone louder or was my Stereo quieter :D

So, Do your Fabia's with Hybrids Suck like a Wh0re on Steroids ?? ;)

Cheers

I have the same set up as you, and yes I can hear the turbo sucking in air, on trackdays it's more like gulping air. I also find how noisy depends on atmospheric conditions as well, and how hot the engine is. You'll soon know if you have an I/C or associated pie leak.

Always said that modified cars tend to suck :giggle::rofl:

I changed my Auxillary drive belt last night & then today the noise seemed louder, I know bigger Turbo,s Etc will create more induction, It just seemed louder ...
