Tuning a 1.9 100bhp Fabia

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a 1.9 TDI Comfort of 2003 53 vintage and would like to do the customary remap to get the most out of it.

My question is what is the best route to take, tuning box or remap, and why?

Does anybody have any personal recommendations? Maybe ideal places to do a remap in South London if that is the best route to take.

I'm not after ultimate power figures, just a decent increase with corresponding mpg improvements.

Any help would be much appreciated as I don't want to make the wrong decision and waste 3-400 quid.

Thanks.

Hi. I got mined done by sp-tuning.co.uk about a couple of years ago. Cost me about 190quid. Car drives much better and more economical than before. Supposed to increase bhp from 100 to 145. But there are so many other mappers out there so i'd do your research before you commit. Ive got a 1.9tdi elegance hatch 51 plate.

I'd forget tuning boxes if I were you.

I went to Performance Torque in Wolverhampton and can't fault any aspect of the service they provided, or the way the car drives now (lots quicker but smoother, no clutch-killing torque spike). See my sig for the figures. I'm getting 2-3mpg extra now on average too, every little helps!

My 1.9 TDI is maxed out whit maping the cpu, i got this! All things on the car original, exept extaus pipe whit no catalisator...
