Qucik Front Pad question

Featured Replies

The front Pagid Pads with the sensors for a VRS from GSF are these the same as what I would expect to get from a Skoda Dealer if I wanted replacement from pads?

I would prefer to go with the better option unless they are the same in which case I will get the most convenient.

Cheers

Well they will be OEM

So yes.

same pattern but not necessarily as good as genuine, i used to go through non gen pads nearly twice as quick

I'd be thinking they were too cheap too be honest, I think originals are around £60

So I would be looking for around £45 if it were me, just too be on the safe side.

Cheaper than orignal but not too cheap.

Thats my way of thinking anyway lol

Thanks for confirming - I will stick with dealer in this case.

Cheers

why not get better ones ie Black Diamond or similar? I have the predator pads on front of mine and there is hardly any wear even with the EBC grooves lol

I found the OEM pads that came with my car didnt really wear that much, the discs on the other hand didnt last as long, the only time the pads wore was with the grooved discs I fitted, 1 set pads went thru 2 sets of discs

Get some DS 2500 and be done with it.

I've had DS2500 on me previous VRS and even though they were good I don't think I can justify spending that much on pads on a purely road biased car.

Billy I will give the Black Diamond predators a lookup though. Where did you order yours from? Europerformance?

yea mate, they were 45 + pnp iirc so wernt that bad, if its just a road car mate what about EBC ultimax? I put some on my GF front and they are brill, stop really well. dont know the life on them tho, I am putting some on the back of my vrs now lol,

spose it all depends what speeds you drive,

the ultimax are really cheap too,

they are a replacement std pad.
