New bluetooth module for Superb?

Featured Replies

Hello,

in the next Superb French forum two people are saying that the Superb now has a new bluetooth module that support both HFP (the handsfree profile) and RSAP (the remote SIM access profile). So for example it works with the iPhone through HFP and with Nokias (Symbian) through RSAP.

If that was true, there will be no more headaches concerning bluetooth.

Have you got any information about this?

Cheers.

I did wonder about this, as we've had a report from Anthony in Cork that his dealer has a new Elegance demonstrator whose bluetooth works fine with the iPhone 3GS.

My first thought was that this is probably due to ROI versions of the Superb coming with the GSMII bluetooth module, but it could be that they actually have a new module that does both (which would be very good).

I've asked my local dealer (in Spain) but they don't know anything. Perhaps someone with a new car (one month old or less ) with GSM III could confirm this point.

Urban.

I remember reading somewhere that the Bentley had a switch to choose between RSAP and HFP but there was some sort of cost issue that clouded the idea of swapping the skoda for bentley . . .

It's not necessarily the car unit that is supporting both RSAP and Handsfree Profile - most RSAP phones can also support HFP.

It could just as easily be a GSMII that's installed and working on HFP only.

I think that after two years and nine months they might have worked it out by now. ;) ;) ;)
