Engine flush

Featured Replies

Can anyone suggest a engine flush i can use on my fabia vrs , when it gets a oil change ?

Cheers

I wouldn't use anything which could subsequently contaminate the PD oil essential for a vRS, and PD oil is too expensive to waste if using it for a flush! JMTPW.

DO NOT FLUSH.

Just use 505.01 spec oil and change it regularly.

Am just buying my oil for the service on my VRS and am going to go for the Motul specific stuff (thanks to the thread on here and OpieOils!)

Bit of a thread hijack maybe, but my car has been running on 5w-30 synthetic since it's last service with the previous owner - anyone know what the impact of running slightly the wrong oil really is? Or to ask the same question in a slightly different way, why are VW so specific about oil type/grade on the PD engine??

Thanks

Andy

due to the load/pressures generated when the camshaft is pressurising the injectors
