Picking up my new car - question

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After many months of waiting I am collecting my new VRS Estate DSG Petrol on Wednesday from Rainworth Skoda. At the time I paid extra for Maxidot but I assume I can request the price is lowered as it is now included in part of the standard specification?

Also, from your experience, was your car indoors when you collected it?? Otherwise I do not see how you can inspect it thoroughly, especially if it is ****ing down with rain. I would be interested to hear your experiences.

I have managed to get the USB MDI cable for £12.45 from Ebay and sorted my insurance today for £330 (for wife and myself, including business mileage). Can't wait to get my new car now......

Thank you in advance

Phil

Ring them first thing in the morning and ask them to keep indoors, workshop or showroom, and tell them you want to inspect it closely.

I went in about a week before collection with a list of things I wanted doing or not doing.

The car was kept in a prep area for the days from car transporter delivery to my collection.

There has been some confusion about whether Maxidot is standard or not.

Ring Skoda UK and ask them if it is standard now

Maxidot is now standard on a DSG equipped vRS

I asked them..It is!

Ive also sat in my new car and can confirm this

Anyone got confirmation from Skoda UK??

I think it depends on when it was ordered... 1st October onwards it seems to be standard on the DSG VRs, if it was ordered before then then it appears to be extra... It was certainly a tick box on my order on the system (September order)
