how long from build to delivery?

Featured Replies

Hello folks.

I've just ordered my new Yeti today. Gone for the 2.0TDI 110ps 4x4 SE with Off-Road button, rough road pack and 4 spoke bluetooth steering wheel and metallic paint (free upgrade from dealer). Can't wait to get it but from reading this I think its going to be April at the earliest before I will see it. *sob*

This is the first car I have ever bought from brand new so its all very exciting and scary at the same time!

I'd forgotten I had an account on here, must be left over from the days when I had a Felica.

Congratulations on the order. Appropriate name for a Yeti, Muckypaws.... emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Since TP seems to refer to his SM in the female gender (like a Yacht!) are you then going to name your Yeti Snowwhite?

I'll try it and report back how my SM likes it.... emoticon-0124-worried.gif

My dealer has phoned me today and said my Yeti will be here at the end of March!

that is an 8 week turnaround - as it was only finally ordered on Monday!!!!

8 weeks does seem to go to be true. So i wouldn't be suprised if it was more like 10-12 weeks.

Darn it - I could really do with mine by then! :D

Greetings from a newbie

We went into our dealer just over two weeks ago intending to purchase a Superb 4 x 4 but non were available.

We enquired what 4 x 4s were available and we were shown a Yeti Elegance 170 TDI demonstrator.

Knew nothing about the vehicle and was probably associating with family orientated adverts for other cars.

Wow what a smooth and comfortable utility vehicle and quite nippy on the road too although at higher speeds there was not the reserve we were used to on our Superb 2.5.

Would have preferred an auto with the DSG being an improvement on the Tiptronic in our five year old Superb but opted for the manual as we felt it would probably be handling most urban situations in gear 3 or 4.

When it came down to ordering there were only two vehicles available for delivery - one had the expensive panoramic sun roof and we have found that with climate control you do not use the sun roof very often. The other had metallic paint which we did not really want to pay extra for but was non negotiable.

We left the show room but on reflection thought that MOT costs if we did not go ahead would exceed the cost of the metallic paint.

Ordered the metallic steel grey and collecting it tomorrow with a sad goodbye to a superb Superb but opting for a vehicle with better winter handling capability.

Please please get some decent photos up of the Steel grey colour - mines on order and I havent seen any particularly close/clear shots of it yet.

Good luck with the new car, if current owners are anything to go by you will love it. :)

Which dealership are you getting that from? I didn't think there were any floating around the dealers as they all seem to be factory orders, or was it a demonstrator you've bought?

i ordered my 1.2 SE on 16 november and collecting on moday (1st feb) the estimate was late january so not far off

We are lucky then ordered from dealer on the 19th January and collecting tomorrow. Just waiting for snow to climb the mountain peaks of the Sussex Downs :)

No decent piccys yet of the Steel grey colour.

We had an Octavia L & K estate and a the first model Fabia TD VrS about 5 years ago. Decided to have just one car on the drive when wife made redundant and that was a Superb 2.5 TD. Comfortable for her ladyship and quite nippy for myself.

Loved the VrS though - so easy to park in comparison with the Superb :)

Sorry thought I had replied to this - maybe it was moderated for showing a dealer name next door to the PDH car park for Gatwick

Yes it was a new car ordered on 19th January and for collection tomorrow.

There were only two 2 litre 170 bhp Elegants available and the Steel Grey Metallic one was at the docks in Hamburg awaiting shipment to UK.

Ordered last week of 2009, build on 6th week of February, delivered by the end of 7th week... so - quite fast!

  • 2 weeks later...

just an update on my previous reply. 1.2 SE with park assist ordered 13 November, now sitting in dealer compound awaiting St Davids Day collection !! 12 weeks in total including a 2 week factory shut down at Christmas. Looked over car today and noticed another SE awaiting collection, BUT this one came from the factory without headlight washers attached (surprising this passed the factory quality ctrl test?!). So remember everyone, check your Yetis carefully, don't assume all the bits and pieces will be there !

Barsteward Hi,

I was wondering if you are experiencing some problems with posting. I have noticed on a couple of occasions that you might be inadvertently just posting a quote without adding any comment or reply.

Please Sir, I'm very sorry I'm just being inept !
