New Octy vRS personal lease deals

Featured Replies

Some interesting reading chaps I am 90% there on leasing a VRS Diesel Estate, best quote I've had up to now is £277 + VAT based of 20,00 miles PA and 3 + 35

Also getting some figures on a PCP so wll report back on how those prices compare

If current values are anything to go by the current basic £15250 vRS 2.0T will be worth £9500 in part exchange in 3 years and 36k miles. Leasing it across the same time and mileage will be almost twice more expensive.

I think £9.5k for a basic petrol VRS for trade in is a little steep and should be closer to £7-8k depending on condition. this still makes leasing more expensive but not by as much. As an aside I seem to end up paying around £10k every 3 years or so when buying a new car (and I buy outright). However, this is mainly due to the fact I end up adding more extras and hence bumping the price up of the car. Hence my first VRS cost me £15k, my second £17.5k (list price was £21k) and my current one £19k (although list price is £23.5k)

I'm on PCH too for my VRS Petrol. 3 + 48 at £330 inc VAT that's with full maintenance (tyres etc inc) and mileage of 13k a year.

To be honest as I used to always have company cars I kind of got used to that method of havign a car so PCH was the most hassle free solution for me. Sure you don't own the car, yes you pay more for it in the long run but for me it's hassle free, it breaks someone fixes it at their cost not mine, it needs new tyres it gets new tyres etc etc.

You pays your money you takes your choice, I just like the fact that it should be worry free motoring.

Earlier posters were talking about the hassle of getting insurance. Yes I did have to phone up companies to actually buy the insurance but you can use the price comparison sites to get the best price (as if you are the owner) choose your vendor, phone them up and say it's owned by a finance company, it made no difference to the premium.
