Featured Replies

Hi all, can anyone point me to a few pics of a Yeti dressed in mudflaps! Also any idea of the cost?

Thanks in advance :)

Was it much of an issue were they to fit?

Very easy; just need a 25 Torx bit and ratchet handle. Front remove existing screws place flap in position and refit screws. Same for the rear but there are a couple of supplied push fit clips as well. Total fitting time 15minutes tops.

How effective are the OEM ones.

Has anyone fitted any aftermarket ones that are bigger as it appears that the OEM ones don't stop that much mud from hitting the side of the yeti.

Open to your opinions on this.

In my opinion the OEM flaps are too small to be really effective at protecting the sill and lower door areas as you see from some of the images posted.

A mudflap that was a bit longer and protruded a bit further out would be more effective particularly with the wider tyres fitted and high ground clearance in some models..

Rally flaps may be a bit much for some but I am sure something between OEM and full rally flap would be acceptable and could look ok for those who do not venture off-road much but just want more protection for their Yeti.

Thanks Johann, I knew someone had done this but couldn't find the thread.

Has anyone fitted rally flaps to a Yeti do we know.

My suppling dealer wanted £61+vat for a set of mudflaps. I think not.

Will get them from my local dealer add the rally flaps and fit them myself.

I bought my front ones from an ebay seller and fitted them myself. Only took a couple of minutes. The back ones were fitted by my dealer when it was in for it's first service.

There are plenty of rally style mud flaps on ebay, from about £15 upwards. The MSA recently altered the spec from 3mm to 4mm, so I'm surprised there aren't plenty of the older ones going cheap.
