Octavia 54 Hatchback load length

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if its possible to get the front passenger seat to lay completely flat with the back seats folded down?

I fly model planes as a hobby and its a real pain as with the back seats down and the front seat tipped back (without headrest), it is a few inches overlapped and leaves you with a very uneven surface for loading long items in the car, had the same issue when I loaded some 2.4metre wood into the car, it sort of just rocks on the lump created.

Maybe I'm missing something but its doing my head in.

Luckily with the front seats all the way forward, the load length just exceeds 2metres which is more than a Ford Galaxy!

Is the Octy Estate any better? The overall length of the car is the same I think and all you gain is the height which doesn't help me.

Maybe the rear seats can be removed from the car all together?

I don't fancy selling it or buying a van, its a 2.0TDI Elegance and I literally use it for commuting, transporting my planes and loading it up to the top when we go touring the UK for holidays, reliable and at 5 years old with 53k on the clock its got plenty of life left hence I'm trying to make do but wondered if others have solutions so loading long narrow loads?

Thanks

If it has a split rear seat, yes...
