VRS tyre pressures

Featured Replies

I'm a bit confused as to what the tyre pressures should be on the FL VRS

The handbook says 29psi on front and 30psi on rear for 225/40 R18 which seems a bit low to me

On checking what mine were set at after I collected it, they were 36 all round

Have dropped them to 33 at the moment and it improved the ride.

Is anyone running at the factory pressure, 29F/30R

I normally run on 34psi but when I have the tyres changed they seem to always put in 36psi. I think it is personal preference and depends on the type of tyres you have fitted. I think there are plenty of threads on here about tyre pressures, do a search and see what you find.

i have experimented a bit and 33 psi all round works best for me!

35psi all round for me. It's what VW recommend for the Mk5Golf GTI (same chassis)

Run mine as it says in book no probs.

Must admit that I had run the factory recommended pressures without issue. The car is generally run unladen, and most of the time with just me in it.

i got a FL octavia with 225/45/17 tyres, are u sure skoda reccomends 29F 30R? i thought they reccomend 2.2bar which is around 32psi,

i run my tyres on 29F 29R as i drive alone 90% of the time with no baggage, the roads here in india are terrible, i find 29psi overrall is decent in ride quality..

I run 34psi on my Vredestein Ultrac Sessenta' 225/40/18's and it seems appropriate to me for normal loading.
