It sounds as if you have got selective locking enabled, press the fob once to unlock just the drivers door and twice to unlock the whole car.

This can also be disabled with VCDS.

VCDS ? sorry

VCDS is an interface that connects to the car's OBDII (On Board Diagnostics) that allows you to read and clear fault codes as well as altering various settings.

Not sure of the sec on the 'S' but if you have the maxidot display then some things are changeable through that.

It sounds like you are holding the unlock button down

instead of pressing it twice :)

I think this is the problem not giving it time to click twice as for the maxidot i haven't got a clue all i wish is when i push the fob once it opens all the doors less hassle

That can be enabled with vag com :)

The S spec doesn't have maxidot, and when your using the fob press once to open the drivers door then wait a second and press fob again to open all doors.
