Right I need tyres!

New wheels are 7.5j 17

Going with T1R's (Really impressed with them this past 18months on the 16's)

Now what width?

I can get 205's for £238 or 215's for £258 Delivered!

And I have a man to fit them!

As a comparison from a local Independent tyre retailer.

I got a quote today for 215's supplied and fitted for £408, And 205's for £360.

So a possible saving of up to £100

I've ran both on the Fabia Mike, and prefer the 205s overall. Less tramlining and felt the car gave a bit more steering feedback with the narrower size. Have tested the same tyre (T1-R) in both sizes too. So a sound choice there

There again, others probably prefer 215s. Not sure how many have tried both though

10 mm (1cm) extra width is not worth £50, so stick with 205s.

Edit: Having said that, it's only £12 more per tyre (assuming you're buying 4)

id say 205

if a fabia was driven 99% wudnt know if 205's or 215's were fitted unless told beforehand...

imo on 7" or under 205's 7.5 - 8" 215's..

205's not much difference but for a 100 quid and very slight better feel 205's all the way.

Ordered 205's

£239.81 so can't complain at that!

Now I just need to get tyres for SWMBO's car
