Awsome custom map RR

172.36bhp with 340.36ft/lb

Am very happy it drives so smooth and I was getting a 53mpg round trip

Sounds good. What year and engine code is your car?

That's some amount of torque!

nice torque figure got more torque than a audi r8 and buy a margin :p

When i eventually get my vRS i am going to have to get it re-mapped. That Torque figure is crazy!

Nice figures! I thought the R8 had around 420 torques?!?

no mate 317lbft for the v8 fsi

Ah I'm probs thinkng of nm? Fair doos then :)

I bet your car at the moment with the extra power and torque is ..... Awesome! :giggle::envy:

Think so ye mate! Was done on the rollers I think!

Yeah but try delivering it all through the wheels on a wet road :D

I can fairly easily get wheel spin in 4th on a wet road in The Shifty Fabia :S !!!!!!

I know which I'd rather drive though...

The diesel fabia obviously........ if Audi did a diesel R8 however....... :)

They were going to, then they realised it would cost far too much, not be any quicker than the V10 and not give much better economy. See, diesel sucks balls :giggle:

Hehe babs!

So running a uprated clutch?

So running a uprated clutch?

Na mate its still on standard clutch!

Pretty similar to mine, I got 179bhp and 334lb/ft torque from a custom job at Awesome last March, That's on a standard clutch which is still going strong.

Mine's clearly the runt of the litter (170.4 / 329.5, up from 141.5 / 290.9), but it was in there for HOURS while the fella was fettling the map - apparently he'd never seen an engine with the exact mapping mine had, or something!?! Mines on a standard clutch too - I think the fact that peak torque isn't reached until a bit later in the rev range with the Awesome map helps a bit on that front...

It does seem that the torque figures are increasing on standard clutches of late. I personally ran 290lb.ft for years, with lots of hard driving and the clutch never slipped. Id have put faith in been able to run a tad more torque!

It's not really the headline torque figure that matters for the longevity of the clutch, it's how quickly the torque figure ramps up to provide that peak. If it's a spikey and steep torque graph, it will put more strain upon it.

Steve

Very nice figures, and your not far from me too. I'm by Snowdonia Mountains, so not far. Nice to hear of another modded fabia in N Wales.

We should meet up mate!

I will post the pic of the graph up later.

am just so pleased with how smooth it is! The cupra I owned before the fab was really aggressive!

I know which I'd rather drive though...
